INSTALLATION SERVICE FOR PROGRESSIVE DISTRICT OFFICERS

 

The Installation Service for the Progressive District Baptist Association Officers was held on Saturday, June 5th, 2004. The service was an inspirational service due in large part to the sermon delivered by Pacific District Baptist Association Moderator, Lovely Haynes of Los Angeles.

 

His message, "Keep your eyes on the Master", was a charge to Progressive District Moderator Elect, J. Linzie Whitmill. His message was intended to prepare the Moderator for the day after all the celebration is over. Moderator Whitmill says he was helped tremendously by the message, as was all who were in attendance.

 

The service was presided over by 1st Vice Moderator, Charles Price of 2nd Baptist Church of Oceanside, CA. In attendance was Moderator Emeritus, Clyde E. Gaines, who is the President of the California Baptist State Convention.
